Announcing Shaun in 'THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE'

I am delighted to announce that I will be playing Chip Tolentino in THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE!

This show has been on my bucket list since I saw the first outside-of-New-York production while it was doing a "sit-down" in San Francisco! I am excited to fill the shoes of this pre-teen and am excited to get to work with such a brilliant cast in a beautiful theatre. 

The San Francisco cast was brilliant and little did I know, I would get to see many of them in the years to come on stages in San Diego and New York!

Rehearsal has just begun and it's looking like it will be a fantastic production. Here's a little more official words on the show:

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents (played by adult actors) vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of [potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves!  A riotous ride complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.
